At the inaugural Zora Neale Hurston Festival at Barnard College, kids stepped back in time, dressing in vintage styles inspired by Zora’s signature flair. With Eatonville, her vibrant hometown, as a lively backdrop, they learned about its rich history while their grownups captured timeless moments in photos.

Commissioned by the Hawaiian Department of Education, this bilingual activity book, reading log, and calendar for ages 5-10 offers a culturally immersive experience. Centered on the rich biodiversity of the Hawaiian rainforest, it showcases indigenous animals, insects, flowers, and foliage. Participants can track their summer reading progress with stickers or through the Beanstack app.

Benny the Bean is the official mascot of Beanstack, a platform that helps librarians and teachers run reading challenges. Once simple and limited in expression, Benny was redesigned to be more dynamic and adaptable across 2D and 3D applications. With a cheerful, adventurous spirit, Benny embodies Beanstack’s mission to bring communities together through reading.
